'Flabbergasting': Kellyanne Conway's husband stunned at report that Trump lawyer dangled pardon for Flynn
March 28, 2018
George Conway, the husband of top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, had a strong reaction to a new report that former top Trump lawyer John Dowd dangled pardons for Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn last year.
Writing on Twitter, Conway posted a link to the New York Times story on Dowd's offer and simply wrote, "This is flabbergasting."
Conway has never been shy about criticizing President Donald Trump, despite the fact that his wife is one of the president's most ardent defenders on cable news shows.
Last year, for instance, he ripped into the president for undermining his own proposed travel ban with a series of impulsive tweets. He has also recently been retweeting articles that criticize the president's alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels, as well as stories that mock Trump for being unable to hire top-notch legal counsel to defend him in special counsel Robert Mueller's probe of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
