Florida gun nut arrested for threatening former GOP Congressman who retweeted Parkland students

Police in Clearwater, Florida arrested a 55-year-old man on felony charges for written threats to kill or do bodily harm following the school shooting massacre in Parkland, the Tampa Bay Timesreported Tuesday.

Gerald Patrick McGuire is being held in the Pinellas County Jail on $10,000 bond for a Twitter response to former Congressman David Jolly (R-FL), which included the error-ridden threat, "shoot David jolly shoot him ba a American shoot him."

Former Congressman Jolly, a Republican, has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump.

On the day of the threat, Jolly retweeted Kyle Griffin, a producer from MSNBC who had tweeted a video of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School junior Cameron Kasky appearing on CNN.

The threat came less than a week after McGuire, who goes by Jerry McGuire on Twitter, tweeted a video from InfoWars, the conspiracy website run by Alex Jones. He also tweeted about Jolly to the Kremlin in the week preceding his threat.

Earlier in February, when Jolly criticized controversial Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for undermining America's courts. McGuire replied, "Shut you're Scientology city suck you traitor tyranny lobbying scumbag suck you Scientology mouse balls."

There was a similar response days earlier when Jolly criticized President Trump.
