Florida sheriffs find two womens' bodies near golf course

Residents of a Tallahassee, Florida apartment complex were shaken after two dead women were found on a nearby golf course on Tuesday.

According to WCTV-TV, the bodies were found by two golfers at Hilaman Golf Course. The golfers told police they heard gunshots around 5 p.m.

Leon County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. James McQuaig, pictured, said the bodies were found between the golf course and the Whispering Woods apartment complex.

"When I heard what happened, I just walked around the back end of the golf course here," said one resident, Ray Parsons. "I saw the deceased and it just stopped me in place."

Authorities have not released the identities of the two victims, but McQuaig said his department is interviewing witnesses. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
