'Our forefathers would have hung' Obama: Trump official exposed for 'Muslim terrorist' conspiracy theories

A senior official at the Department of Health and Human services has been exposed for running a conspiracy theory Twitter account, CNN reported Friday.

Ximena Barreto, who runs the "Republican Chick" Twitter account, joined President Donald Trump's administration as deputy director of communications at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Barreto was placed on "administrative leave" on Monday after some of her political punditry was exposed by Media Matters for America.

CNN has now completed a thorough review of her "Republican Chick" Twitter account. The protected account was being followed by over forty-nine thousand users as of press time.

Barreto reported retweeted an image saying "our forefathers would have hung" former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

She also allegedly labeled Obama a "traitor" and "Muslim terrorist."

The account also pushed the so-called Seth Rich conspiracy theory.

On at least five occasions, Barreto also tweeted using the hashtag #BanIslam.
