Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich endorses Sanders: 'The agent of change' US needs

Robert Reich, who served as Labor Secretary during Bill Clinton's presidency, endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders' presidential candidacy (I-VT) on Friday night.

"I have the deepest respect and admiration for Hillary Clinton, and if she wins the Democratic primary I’ll work my heart out to help her become president," Reich wrote on his Facebook page. "But I believe Bernie Sanders is the agent of change this nation so desperately needs."

Reich mentioned his pet cause, income inequality, as well as the need for a foreign policy not dictated by the "military-industrial complex" and a ready response to global warming, saying all of these things that the US currently needs are endangered by what he described as an "extraordinary concentration of income, wealth, and political power."

Sanders, he wrote, is "leading a movement to reclaim America for the many, not the few," with his "political revolution" being "the only means by which we can get the nation back from the moneyed interests that now control so much of our economy and democracy."
