'Eating toilet paper and shoving Cheerios up his nose': Fox News host calls Gaetz attention-seeking kid

Fox News hosts blasted Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) on Wednesday after he orchestrated the ousting of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) without a plan to replace him.

During the Fox News Outnumbered program, hosts took shots at Gaetz because the House of Representatives was left without a leader.

"This is absolutely appalling, what went on under their watch," host Emily Compagno said. "No explanation, no sound bites that gets likes on Twitter can explain away the absolute abomination that occurred in the Congressional Hall yesterday."

"So it doesn't matter Gaetz's explanations," she continued. "But this, but this, it makes them look juvenile, and they are absolutely squandering our taxpayer dollars and our time."

Co-host Dagen McDowell had even tougher words for Gaetz.

"You should not throw Ross Perot in that sewage lagoon with Matt Gaetz," she told panelists. "I would compare him to that toddler that we've all seen at the family barbecue eating toilet paper and shoving Cheerios up his nose to get attention."

"Because that's what Matt Gaetz did yesterday, saddling up with all those Democrats to go to that barbecue," she concluded.
