Fox News fans turn into campus speech police after California professor keeps her job despite insulting Barbara Bush

Fox News has filled many hours of airtime with attacks on campus "speech police" -- but viewers want a California professor fired for politically incorrect remarks about the late Barbara Bush.

Fresno State University professor Randa Jarrar reacted to the former first lady's death by calling Bush "an amazing racist" who "raised a war criminal," and Fox News has been following the resulting firestorm.

"F*ck outta here with your nice words,” Jarrar tweeted from her now-private account. “I’m happy the witch is dead. Can’t wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million Iraqis have."

The publicly funded university decided not to discipline the English instructor, saying her tweet was protected under the First Amendment -- and Fox News asked their Twitter followers whether Jarrar should have been punished.

More than two-thirds of Fox followers agreed the university should reconsider and discipline Jarrar, and social media conservatives spit venom at the professor.
