Fox News Republican analyst Brad Blakeman argued this week that President Barack Obama has "mommy issues" because his mother was white.
Wednesday morning on Fox News, host Sandra Smith noted that President Barack Obama had blamed racism and "mommy issues" for a lack of progress in the United States. Obama, however, did not mention President Donald Trump's name.
"We are still confused, blind, shrouded with hate, anger, racism, mommy issues," Obama explained.
Blakeman said that he was "outraged" by Obama's remarks.
"The first biracial president who missed a great opportunity to bring this country together because of who and what he was," Blakeman snapped. "Half white and half black. If anybody has mommy issues it's the president.
"I never heard him talk about his mom, President Obama," he added. "To allege racism and mommy issues talking about the president is beyond the pale."
