Fox News host Jeanine Pirro asserted on Thursday that victims of sexual assault doubt Dr. Christine Blasey Ford because she waited 36 years to tell her story in public.
Pirro told the hosts of Fox & Friends that the FBI investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh could be completed without talking to Blasey Ford, who alleges that she was assaulted by the judge.
"They already have the individual who is at the center of the issue questioned under oath by a prosecutor," Pirro opined. "There is nothing else to ask her. There is nothing else to do."
Pirro argued that the call for an FBI investigation into Kavanaugh would "backfire" on Democrats.
"And I'll tell you something else," she continued. "For those people who say women are with Christine. Women who were victims are looking at Christine Blasey Ford and saying, 'You know, I mentioned this, I mentioned that. I didn't wait 36 years. I told a friend, my mother, a college counselor.'"
"You know, [Blasey Ford's] fear of flying, that was a fraud," Pirro added. "Everything is wrong here."
In fact, Blasey Ford did not wait 36 years to tell her story, which first came out during a therapy session in 2012.
