Fox News panel goes off the rails when Dem suggests draining the swamp of 'most corrupt in history' Trump administration

A Fox News Channel panel between Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) went completely off the rails on Wednesday.

The segment, hosted by Harris Faulkner, opened with Gaetz saying that the president "is in fine shape" and that the midterm elections are about impeachment.

Cicilline would not take the bait.

"This midterm election will be about one question: Who's fighting for the people of this country and who's fighting for powerful special elections," Cicilline said.

Cicilline said Democrats are running on their plan to lower prescription drug prices and on an infrastructure plan to put people to work rebuilding the country.

"Democrats are running on their commitment to drain the swamp, to end the pervasive corruption in Washington that makes the government work for powerful special interests and not for them," Cicilline said.

"Really?" Faulkner said. "You're going to take the president's talking points on that?"

"Look at what he does, not what he says," Cicilline said. "This is the most corrupt administration in history."

Gaetz challenged Cicilline on not being willing to talk about former Trump associates Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort, which he said had nothing to do with Trump.

"Matt, you better hope that's the case!" Cicilline said. "That's wishful thinking!"

The two men began arguing over each other and Faulkner tried to quiet them to bring an end to the segment.

"You know what, I've got to go to Rhode Island to see if everyone is like you," Faulkner said. "I know you're a nice man but you won't let anyone finish."
