Fox News terminates Eric Bolling after sexual harassment probe

Fox News announced on Friday that it is parting ways with long-time anchor Eric Bolling after investigating charges of sexual harassment made against him by multiple women.

Entertainment industry trade paper Variety said, "Fox News Channel will part ways with host Eric Bolling, a host and contributor whose on-air presence at the 21st Century Fox-owned network had been growing in recent months, after allegations surfaced that he had harassed colleagues there, the network confirmed Friday."

Bolling's program "The Specialists" has been canceled, but a statement from Fox News said that they are parting "amicably" with Bolling and "wish him the best of luck."

A former commodities trader, Bolling was accused of harassing women and sending them vulgar and sexually charged text messages and emails, including a photo of his genitals.

Occidental College associate professor Dr. Caroline Heldman said that Bolling made lewd comments about her on the air and attempted to seduce her during a trip to New York City.

“Once, he took me up to his office in New York, showed me his baseball jerseys, and in the brief time I was there, let me know that his office was his favorite place to have sex,” Heldman revealed. “I know other women have had similar experiences with Bolling, which means that lots of folks at Fox knew about his behavior well before 2017.”

Bolling is only the latest Fox News personality to get axed over improper behavior and remarks, up to and including late CEO Roger Ailes, who died of a heart attack earlier this year after being forced out at Fox for his pattern of serially sexually bullying and harassing women he found attractive.
