Fox's Chris Wallace: My daughters told me stories 'I never heard' about what happened to them in high school

Fox News host Chris Wallace revealed on Thursday that his daughters had, for the first time, told him stories about their high school days as a result of the scandal involving Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

"I think we need to distinguish between what's legitimate and serious and what seems less so," Wallace said. "Over the course of this week, I think, like a lot of American families, my family -- a lot of it on email -- has been discussing this and disagreeing and arguing about it."

"And two of my daughters have told me stories that I never heard before about things that happened to them in high school," he added. "And hadn't told their parents. I don't know if they told their friends. Certainly they never reported it to police."

Wallace noted that the stories his daughters told were "not as serious" as the allegations against Kavanaugh.

"But the point is that there are teenage girls who don't tell stories to a lot of people and then it comes up," he concluded. "And I don't think we can disregard that. And I don't think we can disregard [the testimony of Kavanaugh accuser] Christine Blasey Ford and the seriousness of this. I think that would be a big mistake."
