Fox's Shepard Smith torches Donald Trump's claim the North Korea nuclear threat is over

On Wednesday, Fox News host Shepard Smith disputed President Donald Trump's suggestion that the nuclear threat presented by the North Korean regime has been largely neutralized.

Following the summit in Singapore, President Trump made some questionable claims about his alleged diplomatic victory.

"There's no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong-un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future," the President said.

Smith begged to differ.

"Well, obviously part of that is not right. The nuke threat is very real. The joint statement both President Trump and dictator Kim Jong-un signed yesterday failed to lay out how North Korea will give up their nukes," he said.

"Or how the U.S. and its allies will check to make sure that North Korea is keeping up its end of the bargain. The North Koreans haven’t admitted what they have, much less when and how they'll supposedly get rid of them. A clear reading of the facts indicate the president made concessions in return for nothing concrete."
