Over the weekend, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected President Trump's 15-point Gaza peace plan.
Netanyahu's decision prompted sharp criticism from conservative commentator Saagar Enjeti, who on Monday called it a "stunning" development amounting to being "spit in the face."
Trump touted the agreement with Hamas as "a great breakthrough," but Netanyahu openly dismissed.
During an Israeli government ministers' cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said, “I want to be clear here – Israel is ruling out the 15-point document,” reported The New York Times.
The roadmap proposed Hamas disarm in exchange for full Israeli military withdrawal and Palestinian governance transition, explained the Council on Foreign Relations.
However, Netanyahu insisted Israeli forces will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed and reiterated there will be no Palestinian state established under his leadership, according to the Israeli embassy.
Speaking on "Breaking Points," Enjeti expressed shock at the rejection, particularly given Trump's unwavering support for Israel during his second administration.
