A Georgia woman's effort to make her foster dog's last days more pleasurable has won her more than 10,000 Facebook fans, WAGA-TV reported.
Nicole Elliot a page for the dog, Chester documenting his "final journey." When she adopted him last month, she wrote, he was recovering from surgery to remove some tumors. But he has developed more since then, and is also suffering from heart worm.
"I am wanting to do a sort of bucket list for Sweet Chester and give him and awesome final ride," she wrote. She told WTVM-TV that she plans to keep the 13- or 14-year-old dog comfortable while she can.
Since then she has posted images of both "normal doggy experiences" as well as a before-and-after picture after she took him in, as seen below:

The page has brought Elliot not only online attention, but news coverage in Australia. She has also established an online fundraiser for a hospice program benefitting older dogs like Chester.
On Monday, she posted that she had to take Chester to the veterinarian.
"He isn't feeling his best. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers," she wrote. "Give all of your beautiful fur babies a hug and a kiss from us."
