'That's gonna be a no': Convicted Trump official asks to leave the country
October 07, 2023
Ex-president Donald Trump's former trade advisor Peter Navarro, who was recently convicted of contempt, has reportedly asked the court for permission to leave the country.
Navarro last month said that there are "murderers" at CNN and that the news network is guilty of "negligent homicide at a minimum."
He was found guilty on contempt allegations earlier in that month.

With his sentencing rapidly approaching in January, Navarro has taken his case for leaving the country to the court, according to CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane.
"Weeks after his conviction by a jury here in Washington DC for Contempt of Congress, former Trump advisor Peter Navarro asks the court for permission to travel internationally for medical treatment," MacFarlane reported on Saturday.
MSNBC anchor and legal contributor Katie Phang summed the answer up in six words.
"Yeah, that's gonna be a 'no,'" she wrote.
