GOP fears the 'number of  Americans who identify as Republicans has never been lower'

The "number of Americans who identify as Republicans has never been lower," and Senate Republicans appear to be sounding alarms.

In an advertisement posted to social media this week, the Senate GOP promoted a survey that includes the question, "Have you left the Republican Party?"

The post also includes a caption under a banner that says "For your eyes only."

"President Trump's sham trials are underway [and] we need the help of every Patriot possible," the ad says. "The number of Americans who identify as Republicans has never been lower in HISTORY."

The ad from the National Republican Senatorial Committee continues:

"Our Democracy is crumbling, [and] this is dire!" the post also says.
