Amanda Carpenter -- a Republican strategist and former aide to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) -- said on Wednesday that the Republican National Committee (RNC) should resign in humiliation over the Roy Moore debacle.
After Democratic challenger Doug Jones won the special election on Wednesday, Carpenter said that the RNC should be ashamed that they supported a credibly accused child molester's run for the Senate.
"They need to rethink what they're doing but I'm not sure they can un-ring that bell," Carpenter said.
She predicted that Pres. Donald Trump's response to the upsurge of electoral force from women will be to "go even harder at these women" accusing him and Moore.
"I believe that will continue to turn off suburban women and I don't know what Republicans are going to do," she said. "People at the RNC, honestly, I'd resign. I'd get out of there. This was an embarrassment to the party."
