Trump's FBI director nominee Christopher Wray to face Senate grilling next week

The U.S. Senate's Judiciary Committee announced Wednesday that it will hold confirmation hearings for President Donald Trump's nominee for the directorship of the FBI Christopher Wray in one week on Wednesday, July 12.

BuzzFeed News reporter Zoe Tilman posted the notification from the Judiciary Committee on Twitter, writing, "Grab the popcorn! Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for FBI director nominee Christopher Wray is set for July 12."

Given the multiple investigations currently swirling around the Trump administration, Wray's confirmation is expected to be a contentious affair.
