Hacked emails reveal Trump donor Elliot Broidy had financial arrangement with aide indicted in Mueller probe

Hacked emails shared with media show a top Trump donor’s financial arrangement with an aide who has pleaded guilty in the Mueller probe, the New York Times reports.

The emails show Elliott Broidy paid Rick Gates for access to Trump.

The emails were stolen from Broidy and given to news outlets by someone "opposed to Mr. Broidy’s work in Washington for foreign countries, including the United Arab Emirates."

Broidy's lawyers have filed a lawsuit accusing Qatar of the hacks in retaliation for his criticism of the country, and naming other insiders who allegedly conspired.

A new lawsuit by Broidy accuses former UN diplomat Jamal Benomar of acting as an unregistered foreign agent for Qatar and “helping spearhead the operation to generate damaging media stories with PDF files and physical printouts sent to media outlets with cherry-picked, curated hacked emails.”
