'I don't have vengeance': Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley pile on Trump in GOP debate
January 10, 2024
Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley knocked former President Donald Trump for being morally deficient and full of vindication during the final Republican debate.
She said that the next president of the U.S. needs to have "moral clarity."
She then explained why she is distinctly different than Trump.
"His way is not my way," she said. "I don't have vengeance, I don't have vendettas."
She then said that she hoped to "Make America proud again" — a subtle tweak on the Make America Great Again slogan signature by Trump.

Ron DeSantis didn't hit Trump as directly, only saying, "I'm the guy that will engineer a comeback for this country." He also stated that Trump is campaigning on many of the issues he failed to accomplish when he was the 45th president.
The last debate between two GOP candidates vying for the presidency kicked off Wednesday night on CNN between Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis five days before Iowans head to the caucuses.
They faced off hours after former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie bowed out of the race by suspending his campaign.
