Vice President Kamala Harris received promising news from a major swing state's largest city where more ballots have been demanded to keep up with voter turnout, CNN reported on Election Day.
Correspondent Abby Phillip reported from Harris' campaign headquarters Tuesday that her team has its eyes locked on Philadelphia where Democratic regions are seeing voters flock to the polls.
"They are happy with the turnout that they have been seeing so far, particularly in the northwest wards of that city, that heavily Democratic city," Phillip said. "
A source told Phillip some voting sites can't keep up with the crowds.

"Some of the polls even requested additional ballot paper to meet the demand of voters," said Phillip. "So if you are the Harris campaign today, that is a very good sign."
Philip explained Harris' campaign is relying on liberal cities such as Philadelphia to wrestle swing states away from former President Donald Trump.
"You need that plus in order to win [in Pennsylvania]," Phillip said. "They are looking very carefully to make sure that in Philadelphia, especially where there's a strong, Black vote, where they need to really drive up those margins, that they can get there before the end of voting today."
