'Why are you yelling?' GOP pundit catches operative off guard with meltdown over streamer

CNN anchor Jake Tapper had to apologize to his panel after a debate about a controversial left-wing streamer became too heated.

On Thursday, Tapper had a segment about Hasan Piker and his interview with Axios that led to Piker walking off. Tapper had on Democratic political operative Karen Finney and MAGA pundit Jesse Arm, who works as the vice president of external affairs for the Manhattan Institute.

Both Finney and Arm agreed that Piker was controversial. Arm, however, irked Finney while going on about how Piker affected the Senate campaign of Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, as El-Sayed is often asked about his alignment with Piker's views.

"Now, anytime anyone wants to ask Abdul El-Sayed about 'Why did you bring this scumbag?' and let's be honest, this moron, 'to campaign with you on the trail,'" Arm yelled, never really finishing his thought. Finney interrupted Arm to ask, "Why are you yelling?"

"I'll bring it down," Arm agreed, but moments later, Arm raised his voice again and kept interrupting Finney. At one point, Finney defended El-Sayed by saying he has answered questions about his ties to Piker, but "He did not say, 'I'm looking to speak to Abdul's audience.'" Arm kept asserting that El-Sayed "has changed his tone" since winning the Democratic primary without disavowing Piker.

"Stop yelling at me!" Finney shouted at Arm as he butted into her defense of El-Sayed. "It's really p— me off," she said, turning to Tapper. "Sorry you're upset," Arm responded, even though he insisted, "I'm not yelling."

After the discussion was done, Tapper thanked both of them for coming on the panel, but added, "I'm sorry if this got too contentious."

"No, I can handle it," Finney said.

Tapper also complimented Finney for doing her research, saying, "That's why you're on this platform as often as I can get you and I don't have him," referring to Piker.
