MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace explains how Trump is playing his base: 'The whole thing was a Trumpian head fake'

On Monday, MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace blasted the President's seemingly ill-advised plan to meet with North Korean dictator King Jong-un.

Wallace's theory is that President is trying to score a political point to boost the chances of Republican wins during the midterms.

"This is all he's got. This is his midterm strategy. This is his get out of sitting down with Bob Mueller strategy," Wallace observed.

She went on to describe that two sources had tipped her off to the fact that in all likelihood, the talks were never called off. They were always on, but Trump enjoyed the drama. "A Trumpian head fake," she concludes.
