Hilarious Monty Python comparison applied to Trump's wall denial

Former Republican Rep. Charlie Dent mocked President Donald Trump's bizarre denials about the wall and the government shutdown using the perfect Monty Python and the Holy Grail comparison.

"What's really sad about this whole discussion is, there's a crisis in leadership," Dent said about the president. "I mean, it's imperative right now that there's a solution to what we're facing. Clearly, the Senate, I think, has to lead. The Senate needs to reopen the government and then they need to pass a bill, they can do this in a bipartisan way in the Senate, they won't be able to do it in the House, pass a bill, $2 billion, $3 billion, take care of the DREAMers, and that will put pressure on Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump to say 'no.'"

Dent went on to speculate that Trump will be "bleeding support" from both sides soon enough. Indeed, reports reveal officials' phones are blowing up with complaints from angry constituents.

"You know, Republicans are losing on this shutdown issue," he continued. "We can't -- I feel like there's a 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' moment here. People pretend they're winning when they're having their arms and legs hacked off."

Dent went on to say it's clear the GOP is "losing" in the battle for this issue.

"I saw it in 2013," he continued. "I remember standing up there, ten days into the shutdown, saying we're winning. And I said, they're like the knight at the bridge. 'It's just a mere flesh wound! My arm's been hacked off!'"
