Horrifying video shows Washington girl nearly die after woman pushes her off a bridge at swimming hole

A 16-year-old Washington state girl was nearly killed after a woman pushed her off a bridge at a swimming hole, reports The Daily News of Longview.

Jordan Holgerson was at a swimming hole on the East Fork of the Lewis River, between Seattle and Portland, Oregon. There, she stood atop a tall bridge and thought about jumping. When she didn't jump, a woman behind her decided to shove her without warning.

Holgerson lets out a blood-curdling scream as she plummets off the ledge with her body splayed out.

The girl's mother, Genelle Holgerson, said that they know the name of the woman who shoved her daughter and that she was "apparently impatient or upset that Jordan did not jump off the bridge on her own."

A surgeon said she was lucky to survive with broken ribs and a punctured lung.

"When you fall three times your height, 50 percent of people will die. That's usually about 25 feet," the surgeon said. "When you're falling from (60 feet), that's like falling on concrete. She could have broken her neck, she could have been a quadriplegic."
