Indiana police searching for three who taunted woman for dating a black man -- then beat her when she came out of her home

An Indiana resident, Melissa Sue Adams, was attacked in her home on Sunday, reported the Journal & Courier.

Adams was in her apartment when a woman started yelling racial slurs at her. Adams stepped outside of her apartment and a fight broke out. According to the police report, Adams was attacked by three women.

The Lafayette police department said the women assaulted Adams because she dates an African American man. Her neighbors were a witness to the crime.

Adams told police that she as been harassed multiple times because of her biracial relationship.The three women fled the scene before the police arrived.
