Vice President Mike Pence has managed to stay out of the limelight and drama plaguing the West Wing. However, even with his quiet demeanor, he has managed to be perceived as Trump's lackey.

Pence has been seen mimicking Trump's behavior and defending his outrageous policy and ideas.

1. Pence was dead silent during a heated debate in the White House

The internet roasted Pence after he sat quietly during a heated debate about the government shutdown between President Trump, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

2. Pence identically followed Trump's gesture in a meeting

A video went viral of Pence mimicking Trump's motions. In the video, Trump's put his water bottle under the table, and Pence processed to the exact same thing.

3. Pence gets mocked by a late-night host for defending Trump’s space force idea

Comedian Stephen Colbert mocked Pence for trying to explain and elaborate on Trump's Space Force plan.

4. North Korea senior official called Pence's comments 'stupid'

Pence made a comment saying that North Korea "may end like Libya." Days later Choe Son-hui, a senior North Korea official called his remark stupid.

"As a person involved in US affairs, I cannot suppress my surprise at such ignorant and stupid remarks gushing from the mouth of the US vice-president," Son-hui said.

5. Veteran journalist Bob Woodward called Pence passive in his latest book

In his book "Fear, Trump in the White House," Woodward called out Pence for not being too involved. Woodward writes, "As usual, (Vice President Mike) Pence was staying out of the way."

6. Pence inspired book about a gay bunny

John Oliver mocked Pence for his book titled "Marlon Bundo's A Day in the Life of the Vice President." The book was written by Pence’s daughter Charlotte and illustrated by his wife Karen.
