Internet erupts with hilarity over Trump's visit to Mexico: 'Keep him until he releases his taxes'

A source connected to the campaign of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump dropped a bombshell Tuesday, stating the candidate was considering paying surprise visit to Mexico to meet with President Enrique Peña Nieto prior to his long-delayed speech on immigration on Wednesday.

Needless to say, after the story began circulating, social media lit up with shock and snark at the idea that a candidate who has made building a wall between the two countries -- and forcing Mexico to pay for it -- was venturing south of the border where he is reviled.

Right out of the gate, one commenter invited Mexico to feel free to keep him, writing: "I wish Mexico would keep him until he releases his taxes. Or just keep him."
