Internet explodes at Olympics doc Larry Nassar's letter blaming 'scorned' women for his downfall

Larry Nassar, the disgraced former USA Gymnastics team doctor who has pleaded guilty to molesting seven girls and has been accused of molesting dozens more, was sentenced on Wednesday to 175 years in prison.

During his sentencing, Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Rosemarie Aquilina read the court a letter that Nassar wrote in which he took no responsibility for his actions and instead cast blame on his accusers, whom he said were not grateful for the treatments they received.

"Those patients that are now speaking out are the same ones that praised and came back over and over," Nassar wrote. "The media convinced them that everything I did was wrong and bad. They feel I broke their trust. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

As the judge read the line about "scorned" women, the entire courtroom audibly gasped.
