Internet explodes with disgust after Trump uses birther spectacle to shill for his hotel

At around 11:30 a.m. on Friday morning, after a brief intro, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump gave possibly the shortest speech of his career. He concluded the speech by saying "President Obama was born in the U.S., period. Now we want to get back to making America strong and great again. Thank you very much."

The micro-speech came after hours of buildup and left many observers stunned and consensus quickly formed that the event was really just an excuse for the former reality TV star to shill his new hotel.
