During Thursday's White House press briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had an interesting choice of words when attempting to dismiss questions about President Donald Trump's "anthem tantrum."
As Urban Radio Networks correspondent April Ryan asked the press secretary for a clarification on what the president intended with his days-long rant about athletes taking a knee during the national anthem, Sanders cut her off by saying, "I don't think there's much to clarify -- it was pretty black and white there."

Twitter immediately jumped into action about the off-the-cuff remark.
"An unfortunate sequence in that characterization," BuzzFeed's Darren Sands wrote.
"Was wondering if she deliberately said that or if she's not clever enough to realize," another Twitter user wrote.
"Probably the most (inadvertently?) honest things she's ever said up at that podium," yet another said.
