White House adviser Ivanka Trump on Thursday disagreed with her father's assertion that the media is the "enemy of the people."
During a discussion with Mike Allen of Axios, Ivanka Trump was asked if she shared President Donald Trump's opinion that the American media "is the enemy of the American People!"
"Do you think the media is the enemy of the people?" Allen asked the president's daughter.
"Sorry?" Ivanka Trump replied, seemingly taken off guard.
"Do you think the media is the enemy of the people?" Allen repeated.
"No, I do not," Ivanka Trump insisted.
The president's daughter went on to explain that she could understand why some people would be cynical about the press.
"I do not feel that the media is the enemy of the people," she concluded.
