'We should hold an investigation into what James Comer is doing': Democratic lawmaker
Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) was caught leaving some information off of his financial disclosure documents that is part of an LLC that he co-owns with a campaign donor.
Speaking to MSNBC on Sunday, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) called for an investigation into whether something untoward is going on with the small plot of land. It all comes at a time that Comer claims President Joe Biden's brother and son have their own LLCs.
"A couple of things," Garcia began, "number one, James Comer has been an absolutely terrible chairman of the Oversight Committee. He brings up conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory, he's obsessed with Hunter Biden, he's obsessed with President Biden and his focus on trying to impeach the president with zero evidence, a complete political stunt."

He called it ironic and hypocritical that Comer has his own deal going on he's been claiming is a problem for the Bidens.
"What we didn't know is not only does James Comer own about 16,000 acres, he described himself as a simple farmer, by the way, in Kentucky he also has set aside acreage with a campaign donor that we know very little about. And he hasn't been publicly disclosed. It's very concerning not having any sort of disclosure. But more importantly, of the chairman of the committee essentially doing exactly what he's been accusing Hunter Biden of doing, and somehow benefiting because of his family."
He attacked it as hypocrisy "out of the Trump playbook, and it's not surprising considering James Comer basically does exactly what Donald Trump tells him to do."
He called Trump nothing more than the puppeteer behind impeachment and the Republican Party.
"We should hold an investigation into what James Comer is doing, it would be a better use of our time," said Garcia.
