A man has been arrested for threatening Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), Politico reported Friday.
“I am deeply worried about Congressional member security and the significant lack thereof when we are in the district,” wrote Moskowitz in a social media post disclosing the incident. “Regardless of our political affiliations or differences, we all have families we want to keep safe.”
The suspect is reportedly a "former felon" who was armed with a rifle, silencer, and body armor, and was carrying a "manifesto" laced with "antisemitic rhetoric" and a "target list" including Moskowitz's name.
Moskowitz is Jewish. He has also gained a reputation for confronting House Republicans in committee, often trolling them over various shenanigans.

The incident is not isolated. A number of other hateful threats are under investigation around the country this week, as low-level unrest flares up in the wake of former President Donald Trump's election to a new term.
In one such incident, racist text messages were sent out following the election to Black people around the country, including a University of Alabama student and a Virginia photojournalist.
"You have been selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation," said the messages. "Be ready at 12 pm sharp with your belongings. Our executive slaves will come get you in a brown van. Be prepared to be searched down once you've enter the plantation. You are in plantation group W."
More broadly, Jewish Americans have been on the receiving end of renewed threats, harassment, and hate speech for over a year following the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel and subsequent Israel-Hamas war in Gaza — on top of background threats from neo-Nazis and other far-right extremists empowered by Trump's rhetoric.
