Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) called Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) bluff when she threatened to expose wrongdoing by other lawmakers.
Greene previously reacted to notion that the House Ethics Committee would potentially release a purportedly incriminating report on ex-Rep. Matt Gaetz, who had been Donald Trump's first nominee for attorney general, and expose its findings on his alleged sexual misconduct with minors and alleged use of illicit drugs.
"For my Republican colleagues in the House and Senate, If we are going to release ethics reports and rip apart our own that Trump has appointed, then put it ALL out there for the American people to see," Greene posted on X.

"Yes.. all the ethics reports and claims including the one I filed all your sexual harassment and assault claims that were secretly settled paying off victims with tax payer money the entire Jeffrey Epstein files, tapes, recordings, witness interviews but not just those, there’s more, Epstein wasn’t/isn’t the only asset If we’re going to dance, let’s all dance in the sunlight," Greene added. "I’ll make sure we do."
After the committee conducted a secret vote during which it agreed to release the report, Crockett responded to the Georgia Republican's threat by saying that sounded like a good idea.
"Looks like it's time to spill the tea," Crockett replied. "I don't know about your GOP colleagues but I'm all ears!"
Gaetz himself responded to the secret vote by criticizing the committee for deciding to release the report after he had resigned from Congress, and he has previously noted that the Justice Department had concluded a separate investigation without charging him with any crimes.
“It’s embarrassing, though not criminal, that I probably partied, womanized, drank and smoked more than I should have earlier in life,” Gaetz posted on X on Wednesday. “I live a different life now.”
