Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) announced that she has dropped out of a key House ranking member race because Democrats wanted a different "style of leadership."
On Tuesday, Crockett announced she was dropping out of the race for ranking member of the House Oversight Committee.
"It was clear by the numbers that my style of leadership is not exactly what they were looking for, and so I didn't think that it was fair for me to then push forward and try to rebuke that," the lawmaker said.
Rep. Kweisi Mfume (D-MD) also withdrew from the race, leaving Reps. Robert Garcia (D-CA) and Stephen Lynch (D-MA).
