'Trump ain't the darn nominee yet': Dem sounds alarm over McConnell bowing to ex-president

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is already capitulating to former President Donald Trump and throwing away a deal he was trying to broker on border security and foreign aid — and that should wake Democrats up to what they're facing, wrote Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) on X Wednesday evening.
McConnell, who has spent months advocating furiously for Ukraine aid, has openly admitted it is Trump's opposition to the deal that might mean it never gets through.
This also comes as House Republicans make clear they don't even want to work on some of these issues until they can get Trump back in office to set the tone of things.

"I just want Senate Dems to remember how Senate Repubs like McConnell act!" she wrote. "We lost Roe, Affirmative Action, Student debt Relief & more losses are on the way because Senate R’s held seats for Trump to appoint."
"Trump ain’t the darn nominee yet, let alone the winner of the election, nor sworn in & these soft feeble & mostly old men won’t move unless the cult leader says so…" she wrote. "But it’s because we all know how People just love to blame Dems FOR EVERY PROBLEM EVER & then praise R’s for what Dems have done! (Record highs of the stock market while still recovering, record low unemployment, record student debt forgiveness despite the court, etc, BUT the border…"
"LISTEN IT TAKES A TEAM!" Crockett added. "We need the HOUSE, SENATE (with aggressive energy) & A DEM PRES! Just vote Blue!"
