READ: Jeffrey Epstein client information unsealed

A tranche of documents relating to the clients of notorious Jeffrey Epstein has been released at Court Listener.

The documents, part of a lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell who was convicted of sex-trafficking in 2021, have been long sought by transparency advocates. The Miami Herald sued to make the information public.

Business Insider notes the former President Bill Clinton is "perhaps the biggest name disclosed in the documents."

The documents also mention Britain's Prince Andrew, accused by Virginia Giuffre of abusing her as a teenager. The Prince settled in her 2022 lawsuit but denied the accusations.

Epstein was charged in 2019 on federal charges of operating a sex trafficking ring, but was found dead of apparent suicide in his Manhattan cell before he could stand trial.

The identities of people who had close financial relationships with Epstein could be revealed by this information, although it is unclear if, and the extent to which, any of them are implicated in Epstein's wrongdoing.
