A Fox News host said on Wednesday that she's "terrified" of how the Trump administration is going to respond to conservative activist Charlie Kirk's assassination.
Jessica Tarlov, who co-hosts "The Five" on Fox News, discussed the aftermath of Kirk's killing on a new episode of the "Raging Moderates" podcast with Scott Galloway. Her comments come one week after Kirk was killed on a Utah university campus while he was giving a speech.
"This week, I'm terrified," Tarlov said. "I'm sad and terrified about what is to come next."
President Donald Trump and several high-profile MAGA figures rushed to blame Kirk's killing on radical leftwing groups like Antifa.
At the same time, Attorney General Pam Bondi made a threat on the "Katie Miller Podcast," hosted by the wife of Trump's Deputy Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller, about cracking down on so-called "hate speech" directed at Kirk.
"There's gross speech and evil speech, but it's all protected by the First Amendment," Tarlov said. "AG Bondi realized she got over her skis, tried to walk it back this morning, saying, 'I'm only talking about, you know, yelling fire in a crowded theater,' but you see them testing every little way that they can to see if they're going to get pushed back because Pam Bondi knows what's in the First Amendment and what's protected and what's not."
