Jewish man's food truck attacked and ransacked in Austin -- and vandal leaves behind Nazi paraphernalia

The vendor of a small Jewish food truck in Austin, Texas was horrified to find his business vandalized, ransacked and strewn with hate symbols, reports the Statesman.

“It was ransacked, glass everywhere. And that’s when I saw the cross and the change on my driver seat,” Scotty Grossbard of Jew Hungry? told the paper. “I got upset. I started crying. I cried most of the day yesterday.”

The break-in is being investigated as a hate crime. Grossbard says when he saw the Iron Cross and coins strewn across the seat of the truck, he knew he'd been targeted because he sold Kosher, Jewish delicacies.

He's filed a police report.

“For them to leave that, to me it’s just saying that Jewish people are all about money and that’s all we think about,” Grossbard said.

Neighbors started a GoFundMe page to offer condolences.

"First of all, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the love and support from the community of Austin and EVERY place else who has reached out!!" Grossbard wrote.
