Jill Stein: I'd 'welcome' telling intel members looking at Russian hacking what I learned from my recount effort

Appearing on MSNBC Saturday afternoon, Green Party presidential candidate Jill stein once again defended attending a dinner in Russia with controversial ex-Trump aide Michael Flynn and Vladimir Putin, then said she should be willing to share what she learned about election hacking from her recount effort paid for by supporters.

Speaking with host Alex Witt, Stein was asked about a comment made by senior Democratic House intel committee head Rep. Adam Schiff (CA) saying, "Jill Stein was also in Russia attending the RT (Russia Today) function, so we're going to need to look at any efforts the Russians made through whatever means to influence our elections."

According to Stein, she welcomes the chance to speak to the committee looking into Russian interference in the 2016 election, and would be willing to share what she learned from her ill-fated recount campaign after the election.

"I welcome any opportunity to share my insights," Stein brightly offered. "I myself launched an inquiry into interference in the elections and into hacking in the elections in the form of a recount, which is still seeking, actually, through the court of law and through followup litigation, to get our hands on the machines and the software."

"Because what we do know is there was a whole lot of hacking going on. and a whole lot more has surfaced since the election," she continued. "So, you know, it's important not to lose the forest through the trees here. There are real concerns about cybersecurity and there are real concerns about the security of our elections. So these fortunately are solvable problems and, in terms of cybersecurity, no less than the president of Microsoft, Brad Smith, has been calling for months for a Geneva summit on cybersecurity. Because right now it's a wild west out there."

Asked by host Witt what role she thought she played in the election, Stein answered:  "Really critical"
