Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) got more than he bargained for -- or wanted -- during a phone call from "Donald Trump" (Jimmy Fallon) on Thursday's Tonight Show.
Trump called his GOP rival offering to help him prepare for his interview with Fallon, offering tips like "No one likes a slow walker" before asking, "Are you writing this down?"
"Hold on, let me get my pen," Cruz said, before actually pulling out a bottle of liquor and pouring himself a glass.
Trump also insisted Cruz was missing out by not watching the debate between Democrats Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, saying Clinton was caught flip-flopping "this way and that way" on trade.
"It was like watching her swipe a Metrocard at the subway," he said.
The senator, who said he was "watching The Princess Bride for the 843rd time" instead, did concede that Trump's offer to help was generous.
"I appreciate you being the bigger man," he said.
"Oh, I'm the bigger man," Trump shot back. "With the bigger hands. And the bigger ... you can't see me, but I'm pointing at my Trump Tower."
"I'm really glad not to be FaceTime right now," Cruz replied.
