John Oliver compares Trump to England's crazier kings -- only he didn't 'come out of a queen's vagina'

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, HBO host John Oliver regaled the host with background for his popular "Make Donald Drumpf Again" campaign mocking GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

Colbert noted that Oliver had previously claimed that he didn't have to care about a possible Trump candidacy.

"I didn't care, I didn't think I'd have to care. And then it turned out I did," Oliver said. "None of us thought we were going to be here, but here we are."

Discussing the Trump candidacy, Colbert asked if Trump would fail in England's current parliamentary system.

"Yes. That is why our crazier leaders, so to speak, were kings because your only qualifications then were you had to come out of a queen's vagina," Oliver replied, adding that CBS might want to bleep that.

Colbert also brought up Oliver's immensely popular segment on Trump two weeks ago, before pulling out one of the hats that mocked Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan.

Noting that Trump's ancestors were called Drumpf, Oliver stated that he wanted to separate the man from the Trump name so that "people would look at him with fresh eyes."

"A long time ago, they were Drumpfs, "Oliver explained before mockingly calling the the German language "the language of poetry, angry angry poetry."

"So we made hats and we sold 35,000 of these," he continued while laughing.

"Now where does that money go, John Oliver?" Colbert asked.

"Well we sold them at cost," Oliver replied. "Which, you can imagine HBO finds hilarious. What's funnier than not making any money on an unexpected and inexplicable hit?"

Oliver went on to explain that rapper Jay-Z had requested one of the hats from HBO, but he cautioned the network to be careful -- particularly if Jay-Z's wife, Beyoncé, wore one in public.

"I said be careful, because if he wears one in public we're going to need more hats," Oliver explained. "And if his wife puts one on in public, we are no longer a TV show -- we're a hat manufacturing company."
