'Daily Show' host Jon Stewart unleashes profane rant tearing apart Trump’s 'day one' plan

Comedian Jon Stewart on Monday night took aim on "The Daily Show" at Donald Trump's plan to deport millions of migrants, imploring viewers to question whether the former president's plan will be done with a "fine tooth comb."

Stewart kicked off his show by taking a swipe at The Washington Post over its 11th-hour decision to stop endorsing presidential candidates, joking: "Normally I just vote for who the Washington Post endorses. But I'm not an Amazon Prime member so..."

He then poked the Kamala Harris campaign over its decision to bring pop superstar Beyoncé on stage — but not have her perform.

"No singing?" a stunned Stweart rhetorically asks after playing a clip of the singer endorsing Harris. "Just a heartfelt statement on the importance of the election? F-- it I'm voting for Trump."

Stewart used much of the rest of his monologue to take down Trump's stated plan that he wants to "launch the largest deportation program in American history."

"Day one? Have a snack, meet the staff! Day one, we typically just read the syllabus! There's generally no homework," quips Stewart.

After playing a clip of Trump proclaiming he'll enact the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, Stewart jokes: "Who the f--- told Donald Trump about the Alien Enemies Act of 1798? Because I'm going to bet you something. He did not come to the meeting and go, 'Hey, why don't we use the 1798 Alien Enemies Act? Would that apply?'"

Stewart mocked Trump by playing Trump's recounting of the Battle of Gettysburg and Confederate General Robert E. Lee, which the former president stated Lee once lamented they fought uphill and stated "'Wow, that was a big mistake.'"

Stewart then looked at the precision of Trump's statement, and mocked that he's sure no one other than illegal immigrants will be "caught up in that dragnet." He then played clips of Trump proclaiming there are anywhere from 2 million to 21 million immigrants living in the country illegally — a wide range who, under his plan, would be deported under a second Trump administration.

"But listen! They're all bad! They've all committed terrible crimes! And we've catalogued — without due process — the terrible things they've done, yes?" questions Stewart.

He then played a clip of Trump repeating a racist conspiracy theory that Haitian immigrants living in Springfield, Ohio, are abducting and eating peoples' pets, then played more clips of Trump promising to deport not only legal immigrants but special counsel Jack Smith, who is prosecuting an election subversion case against him.

Stewart laid into Trump over his imprecision in the past, noting he failed to distinguish former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown from Los Angeles councilman Nate Holden when recounting a near-helicopter crash in the 1990s, and mistook E. Jean Carroll — who credibly accused him of sexual assault — in a photo as his second wife, Marla Maples.

"You know what I just realized? Donald Trump doesn't have affairs — he just thinks everyone is his wife," jabbed Stewart. "Clearly an attempt to deport between 30 and 500 million people is going to be complicated."

Stewart then honed his argument if Trump can't identify his second wife in a photo, what makes Americans think he cares about who gets deported?

"Everyone of these groups was at a place in time on the wrong side of not being American enough. And right now you think you're safe. Because the group Trump's talking about — it's not you. As if, 'Are you sure this isn't my wife?' Donald Trump can tell the f---ing difference or even cares that the day one implementation of the 1798 law — that was last used to intern Japanese and German citizens in World War II — will be a fine tooth comb?"

"It just makes me very sad," he said.
