Former Vice President Kamala Harris called Anderson Cooper a "motherf-----" to her colleagues following a tense interview last year, Fox News reported on Friday, citing a new book by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson.
Harris's reported remark came in the wake of then-President Joe Biden's disastrous debate performance against then-candidate Donald Trump. At the time, Harris said, "This motherf----- doesn't treat me like the damn vice president of the United States," the book said, according to the report "I thought we were better than that."
The book, "Original Sin," described Harris as visibly angry following the interview, though she did not curse directly at Cooper. Instead, she expressed her frustration privately to colleagues afterward.

Cooper asked Harris about Biden’s debate performance, telling Harris that Democratic lawmakers described the debate as a "disaster" and a "trainwreck."
"Those are Democrats especially worried that Biden did not punch back on Trump‘s lies," Cooper said.
Harris replied, "People can debate on style points, but ultimately, this election and who is the president of the United States has to be about substance."
Anderson interjected, asking, "You debated against then-Vice President Biden four years ago, and he was a very different person on the stage four years ago when you debated him. That‘s certainly true, is it not?"
She replied, "I got the point that you're making about a 1-1/2 hour debate tonight," Harris said. "I‘m talking about 3 1/2 years of performance in work that has been historic."
When pressed on whether debate Biden was the same man she worked with in the White House, a fed-up Harris replied: "I‘m not going to spend all night with you talking about the last 90 minutes when I‘ve been watching the last 3 1/2 years of performance."
