Karen McDougal's attorney has the perfect response to a Trump ally flipping after silencing her story

In response to news that American Media Inc. Chairman David Pecker was granted immunity in exchange for information about Donald Trump and Michael Cohen colluding to silence former Playmate Karen McDougal, the adult model's lawyer had the perfect comeback.

Pecker's company publishes National Enquirer and bought the rights to McDougal's story about her affair with the president and then killed it in the leadup to the 2016 campaign. Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal reported that he is cooperating with federal prosecutors and willingly providing information about the deal he made with Cohen and Trump.

On Twitter Thursday afternoon, McDougal's attorney Peter Stris released a three-word, tongue-in-cheek statement: "Told you so."

Linked in the tweet was a video from a March appearance on CNN's The Situation Room in which he claimed McDougal "was tricked into signing a bogus contract with a quarter-billion-dollar company that happens to be run by a close, personal friend of Donald Trump."
