Newly appointed White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia openly promoted conspiracy theories that suggested President Donald Trump retained control of the U.S. military while out of office and that Democrats supported satanic child abuse rituals, Popular Information uncovered Sunday.
Zacharia has already drawn scrutiny over her controversial deleted tweets, but her thousands of posts on Truth Social — Trump’s own social media platform — have gone largely “overlooked,” noted Popular Information’s Judd Legum in the outlet’s report. Since early 2022, Zacharia has posted on the platform nearly 2,700 times, including 1,162 reposts from other Truth Social users.
“The radical left Hollywood elitists are sick [pedophile] cannibals. Change my mind,” Zacharia wrote in a 2022 post on Truth Social, which as of Sunday morning remains online, referring to conspiracy theories that claim Hollywood stars secretly engage in the ritualistic sacrifice and cannibalization of children.
In another post, Zacharia provided evidence in support of another baseless theory referred to as “Devolution,” the idea that Trump secretly retained control of the U.S. military during the Biden administration.
On April 3, 2022, right-wing conspiracy theorist Jon Herold asked for help writing an article on “Devolution,” the theory he had popularized the year before. Zacharia responded to Herold’s call for help by offering evidence in support of the baseless theory.
“On Biden’s inaugural day, he received a 3 cannon, ~ 9 shot every 8-9 second gun salute versus a true presidential 21 gun salute,” Zacharia wrote.
In November 2022, Zacharia paid her respects to Robert David Steele, a prominent Trump supporter and conspiracy theorist who once claimed kidnapped children were being sent to a NASA colony on Mars as part of an interplanetary child trafficking ring. A critic of COVID-19 vaccines, which he called “untested” and “toxic,” Steele died of COVID-19 in 2021.
“He was exposing the pedo rings of the elite cabal,” Zacharia wrote of Steele. “May he Rest In Peace and the work of his hands not have been in vain.”
