Brett Kavanaugh's Yale classmate tells CNN's Chris Cuomo that her friends spent all afternoon texting about his lies to Senate

On Thursday, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh appeared in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee to address sexual assault allegations.

CNN's Chris Cuomo brought on one of Kavanaugh's Yale classmates, Lynne Brookes, to share insights into Kavanaugh's performance during the hearing.

Brookes said that she was disappointed in Kavanaugh's performance and that multiple former Yale classmates felt the same. She also noted that there were "emails and text messages flying around" pointing out all of Kavanaugh's lies.

"I watched the whole hearing. A number of my Yale colleagues and I were extremely disappointed in Brett Kavanaugh's characterization of himself and the way that he evaded his excessive drinking questions," Brookes said. "There is no doubt in my mind that while at Yale, he was a big partier, often drank to excess. There had to be a number of nights where he does not remember."

She added, "There were a lot of emails and a lot of texts flying around about how he was lying to the Senate Judiciary Committee today."
