Kavanaugh supporters spotted with lobbyists' gear after Trump attacks 'elevator screamers' as paid protesters

A reporter observed a group of pro-Kavanaugh advocates with regalia from a large conservative lobby on Friday — hours after President Donald Trump complained on Twitter that the "elevator screamers" who confronted Sen. Jeff Flake (R-TN) last week were paid protesters.
"For all the talk of anti-Kavanaugh protesters being paid, I just saw a group of Confirm Kavanaugh folks whip out a binder with a FreedomWorks logo on it and a printout of all the Senators (with their pictures next to them) who they should lobby," MSNBC and Daily Beast reporter Sam Stein tweeted.
FreedomWorks is, according to its website, "a grassroots service center dedicated to helping activists fight for lower taxes, less government, and more freedom."
The lobbying group responded to Stein's tweet by noting that its volunteers were not paid.
"Thanks for the shout out, but briefing [does not equal] 'paid,'" a tweet from the group read.
